The idea was based on an interactive campaign with a lost key as a theme. Through several campaign films, curious detectives (potential visitors) could follow the development of the mystery and at the same time guess who the key thief is. In the third promotional footage, the character behind the disappearance of the key was revealed.
Bolt has been inspired by the material that already exists from the stories of LasseMajas Detektivbyrå and put our own stamp on the execution, both for the campaign films and the marketing in social media.
The mix between digital and physical elements was constantly present, just like in Deckarhuset. Our challenge upon start was to nurture – and at the same time develop – and already well-known brand. Therefore, “the getting to know each other” phase was prioritized before starting the idea process for the campaign.
Conversations with the author Martin Widmark, strategy and development work with Gro Play, the creators of the app “LasseMajas Detektivbyrå”, and the launch of an independent campaign page were some of the steps along the way.
About
The books about LasseMajas Detektivbyrå have sold over 15 million copies. The mysteries in Valleby, created by author Martin Widmark and illustrator Helena Willis, have also been translated to movies, a advent calendar and an app – and now also a destination in Gamla Linköping.
